The Maiko motif woven into the upper is crafted using an advanced technique that employs six different colored threads, creating a three-dimensional effect and a rich, expressive depth. The image of a Maiko standing quietly has been cherished since ancient times as an auspicious design symbolizing “elegance,” “growth,” and “good fortune.” As a symbol of Kyoto culture, it possesses a gentle radiance that quietly fills the hearts of those who see it.
