Tonight marks Gozan no Okuribi, the iconic evening bonfires lit across Kyoto’s mountains to bid farewell to ancestral spirits.

本日は京都の夏の節目である「五山送り火」の夜。
お盆にお迎えした精霊を送り出すこの伝統行事は、嵐山からも見ることができ、私たちスタッフにとっても、時の流れや日本の美学に改めて心を寄せる特別な時間です。

店内で手に取っていただけるFUGAのシューズには、数百年の歴史を誇る「西陣織」や、繊細な結びの美を宿す「京組紐」を取り入れています。単なる装飾ではなく、日常の歩みに寄り添う機能性と耐久性を兼ね備え、職人の手によって一足一足丁寧に仕立てられています。

そこにあるのは、主張しすぎない引き算の美学——「侘び寂び（Wabi-Sabi）」と「静と動」の調和。

送り火の灯火が時を超えて文化を繋ぐように、FUGAも京都のストーリーを世界中の皆さまの足元へ届ける架け橋でありたいと考えております。
