The small cherry blossom motif adorning the checkered pattern is an auspicious design inspired by cherry blossoms heralding spring’s arrival. Cherry blossoms symbolize “rebirth,” “new beginnings,” “auspicious connections,” and “joy.” Small cherry blossoms, in particular, represent not grand fortune, but the small, quiet happiness and blessings that bloom within everyday life.
